They describe the structure of a transmitting station and, for each section, include a list of commands, signals, and alarms for telecontrolling. The first telecontrolling systems were based on analogue technologies: signals and commands were ON/OFF. The development of digitale technologies and communications, the adoption of microprocessor systems and the introduction of new management protocols permitted the integration of previous telecontrol systems into a single SCADA system (named SITT) and simplified the fault detection operations for the new DTT transmitters by the adoption of SNMP protocol. |
