LE FIL ROUGE – Vietato non toccare

LE FIL ROUGE –Vietato non toccare

Among of Rai’s initiatives on accessibility and inclusion, Rai Valle d’Aosta has produced the episode “Vietato non toccare” of the series Le Fil Rouge, a program by Paola Corti and Ilaria Macrì. The episode follows a group of blind and visually impaired visitors of the Unione Italiana Ciechi e degli Ipovedenti-Valle d’Aosta in the Rai Museum of Radio and Television.

The documentary is available on RaiPlay:

The strength of the narrative lies in showing how the museum is designed to welcome every visitor: it is not merely a visual exhibition, but a truly inclusive space where people with visual disability can fully experience the installations through touch, sound, and interaction.
The “fil rouge” of the story is the tactile and auditory connection that allows culture to be “felt” even without sight. Cultural accessibility is not just an ideal goal—it can be achieved in concrete and meaningful ways. It also invites reflection on how often we take vision for granted, and how rich the sensory world can be when explored through other senses.

This important project is the result of collaboration among several Rai departments: Museo della Radio e della Televisione, Rai Valle d’Aosta, Rai Pubblica Utilità, Rai per la Sostenibilità-ESG, Rai Centro Ricerche Innovazione Tecnologica e Sperimentazione.
