KICK OFF Meeting AutiTec Project

Technological Solutions for Autism

The Kick Off meeting of AutiTec Project took place on the 9th of  March at the headquarter of the project partner “Fondazione Cluster regionale Lombardo delle Tecnologie per gli Ambienti di vita”, located in the Lecco Chamber of Commerce, founding member of TAV Foundation.

The project is promoted by the leader IRCCS Eugenio Medea, Bosisio Parini (LC) Center  – “Unità di Psicopatologia dello Sviluppo”, with the partnership of Fondazione ASPHI onlusFondazione Cluster regionale Lombardo delle Tecnologie per gli Ambienti di vita and with the collaboration of Rai.

The project, funded by Fondazione Cariplo, aims to develop a series of high technology solutions to support the child with autism, his family and the operators. These instruments will act as facilitators of the rehabilitation process, but also of the interaction between: parent and child, parent and operator, different operators. They will also allow to support the child during his daily life, they will favor the parental empowerment and they will extend the rehabilitation process outside the primary context ensuring constant monitoring.

The project, which will last three years, has the following objectives:

  1. Promote social inclusion through a personalized and technologically innovative use of television, used during the interpersonal play between parent and child with autism.
  2. Promote the creation of a shared and co-built collection of technological aids (App) for autism, available to the community.
  3. Test technological solutions to facilitate and support the rehabilitation process.
