Planar Inverted-F Antenna. Planar inverted-F antenna refers to  a type of antenna widely used in wireless communication. It consists of a monopole antenna running parallel to a ground plane and grounded at one end. The antenna is shorter and more compact respect to the monopole antenna, and the impedance matching can be controlled by the designer without the need for additional matching components.

Antennas for reception of TV broadcast services on mobile terminals: “Best Paper Award” at the COMSOL Conference 2020

Assunta De Vita, Bruno Sacco

The possibility to design compact broadband antennas for digital television reception on mobile terminals conflicts with the physical constraints dictated by the small size of the devices. The aim of this work is to investigate possible solutions that allow to optimize the antenna system for its possible use in 5G technology.
