MediaRoad Prize at IBC2019

International Broadcasting Convention 2019, Amsterdam

On Sunday 15th September MediaRoad awarded the winners of the Sandbox Prize in a Ceremony taking place at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC2019), Amsterdam. The Sandbox Prize is an initiative with the goal of communicating and celebrating some of the best results achieved during the collaboration.

  • The First Place award has been assigned to Newsbridge, a startup collaborating with FTV’s Sandbox, for its Newsbridge IdX project, an automatic cognitive indexing service.   • The Second Place award has been assigned to On-Hertz, collaborating with VRT’s Sandbox, for their full radio studio on a tablet, providing a cost-effective and straightforward solution in mobility. Renaud  Schoonbroodt, On-Hertz co-founder, presented the project. See https://www.mediaroad.eu/archives/22140
  • France Télévisions Sandbox has been awarded as the Sandbox creating the most Quality Label projects. FTV’s Sandbox has been always among the most active in collaborating with startups and exploring innovating solutions, certifying 5 projects with the Quality Label during the MediaRoad project.  Frédéric Lecoin presented France Télévisions Sandbox strategy and achievements.  See https://www.mediaroad.eu/members/france-televisions for details.

The ceremony has been presented during the renowned IBC Exhibition by Agata Patecka (EBU), Sarah Geeroms (VRT) and Paolo Casagranda (Rai) and the prizes have been assigned by Judy Parnall (BBC), EBU Technical Committee Chair.
