The annual metadata workshop took place in Geneva at the headquarters of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU-UER). RAI CRITS presented three speeches related to the following topics: an approach for the creation of datasets for AI; an information model and related tools developed for the planning and execution of television productions based on the simultaneous and automated use of multiple drones; a dashboard for the integration of AI services for multimedia content analysis.

On May 16th, at the Fisciano campus of the University of Salerno, CRITS held a seminar on the application of AI for Public Service Media. Ph.D students and researchers of the local Neural and Robotic Network Lab of the Business Science – Management & Innovation System Department attended.

On October the 9th, at the FIAT/IFTA World Conference 2018 hosted by RAI in Palazzo Labia Venice, RAI CRITS and RAI Teche  contributed to the Workshop  on “Mass Digitisation with a Focus on Film” with the presentation “The experience of RAI DigiMaster Project, in progress…“

On September 25, 2018, the 10th SMPTE seminar on Emerging Technologies was held at the Mediaset TV Production Center in Milan, with the aim of discussing and addressing their development and their introduction into the broadcast world . In particular, the issues dealt with are three: the future use of UHD, the advent of 5G and the new IP technologies.
